I got a new sewing machine. I was really not feeling my old one. It served the basis purpose, but it had a few flaws. The thing I hated most about my old machine was the front loading bobbin, this one has a top loading bobbins. I'm going to spend my day off to really test out this machine.

This Ann Bubb's On-Your-Toes Socks. The pattern is in the Summer 2007 issue of Interweave Knits (my favorite knit magazine). I purchase the yarn over a year ago from Purlsoho. It is Lorna's Laces stripe yarn dyed just especially for PurlSoho. You get so much yardage from Lorna's Laces sock yarn that I decided to try a toe-up sock with it so I can see how far up I can go.

And the most exciting new of the week is SCHOOL'S OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

First day of school, his pants is usually not that saggy but his leather belt broke and he had to use the belt that came with his cargo shorts. He's a Freshman in High School this year. My baby is growing up!
